Bjornfot has skated in 154 career NHL games, posting 19 points.
He also played in 192 career American Hockey League games, logging 61 points.
The Florida Panthers are currently 14th in the Eastern Conference with a 40-38 record, on a W3 streak.
Bjornfot's experience will help the team's defensive lineup.
He helped Charlotte reach the Calder Cup Final in 2024-25, producing seven points in 14 postseason games.
The signing of Bjornfot is a strategic move by Bill Zito, the President of Hockey Operations and General Manager.
